GET INVOLVED

Welcome to Student Volunteering Week 2016. Last year, students and staff at 86 colleges and universities hosted events and activities for SVW, and we’re excited for you to join us in 2016.

SVW is all about spotlighting the amazing work of student volunteers in the UK, building collaborative networks, having fun, and inspiring more and more students to give volunteering a try!

Current student volunteers and staff at colleges and universities across the UK develop their own local and regional plans; they host one-off volunteering opportunities with local charities, plan networking events to bring students and charities together, publicise their own student-led opportunities on campus, organise celebrations to recognise volunteers, fundraise for social issues they care about, partner with local businesses through sponsorship and much more!

The SVW Team is on hand to share advice and resources, facilitate collaboration, and shine a spotlight on inspiring people and innovative opportunities.

FIND OUT MOREREGISTER YOUR INTEREST

If you already work with student volunteers, it’s a great chance to celebrate the impact that they make.

If you don’t already work with student volunteers, it’s a great chance to reach out to students in your area and develop some new opportunities.

Either way, SVW can help you to reach thousands of students and spread the word about your cause and opportunities within your organisation. Institutions are always looking for partners, speakers, sponsors and trainers, so don’t hesitate to reach out and start conversations with colleges and universities in your area.

Check out these tips for what you can do during the week.
